This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs your use of talgia's camera, photo, template, recap, AI-assisted, and sharing service operated by MALCOMSON BROTHERS LIMITED. This Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

talgia is designed to help users create meaningful, creative, and positive photo and video experiences. We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and lawful environment for all users. Violation of this Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and access to our Service.

2. Prohibited Content and Activities

You must not use talgia to create, upload, share, or distribute content that:

2.1 Illegal Content

  • Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Facilitates or promotes illegal activities, including fraud, trafficking, or illegal substances
  • Violates export control laws or sanctions
  • Involves the exploitation of minors in any way

2.2 Harmful or Deceptive Content

  • Deepfakes for Deception: Creating images intended to mislead others about real events or identities
  • Non-consensual Intimate Images: Generating or sharing intimate or sexual images of individuals without consent
  • Identity Theft: Creating images to impersonate others for fraudulent purposes
  • Misinformation: Generating images intended to spread false information about events, people, or organisations
  • Forgery: Creating fake documents, identification, or official materials

2.3 Inappropriate Sexual Content

  • Pornographic or sexually explicit material
  • Sexual content involving or appearing to involve minors
  • Non-consensual sexual content or "revenge porn"
  • Content that sexualises minors or individuals without their consent

2.4 Violent and Disturbing Content

  • Graphic violence, gore, or content that promotes physical harm
  • Content that promotes, encourages, or depicts acts of self-harm or suicide
  • Content that promotes or glorifies terrorism or violent extremism
  • Threats of violence or harm against individuals or groups

2.5 Hateful and Discriminatory Content

  • Content that promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence against individuals or groups based on:
    • Race, ethnicity, or national origin
    • Religious affiliation or beliefs
    • Gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation
    • Disability or medical condition
    • Age or veteran status
    • Any other protected characteristic
  • Content that harasses, bullies, or targets individuals for abuse
  • Content that promotes extremist ideologies or hate groups

2.6 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights
  • Using copyrighted characters, logos, or branded content without permission
  • Creating unauthorised derivatives of protected works
  • Uploading photos you don't have the right to use

2.7 Privacy Violations

  • Uploading photos of individuals without their consent
  • Creating images that violate someone's privacy or publicity rights
  • Sharing personal information of others without authorisation
  • Using the Service to stalk, harass, or invade the privacy of others

3. Prohibited Technical Activities

You must not:

  • System Interference: Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or disable the Service or servers
  • Unauthorised Access: Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, accounts, or systems
  • Reverse Engineering: Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Automated Access: Use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service without permission
  • Circumvention: Bypass or attempt to bypass any security features or access restrictions
  • Malware: Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code

4. Photo, Video, Template, and AI Feature Guidelines

4.1 Upload and Import Requirements

When uploading, importing, or sharing photos, videos, templates, or other media, you must:

  • Only use media you own or have permission to use
  • Ensure you have consent from identifiable individuals where required
  • Not upload or share media containing minors without appropriate parental or guardian consent
  • Not upload, import, or share media that violates this Policy

4.2 Templates, Shared Rolls, and Links

When using templates, shared rolls, invite links, look codes, or other sharing features, you must not:

  • Invite people deceptively or use shared spaces to harass, shame, expose, or pressure others
  • Upload another person's media without the rights and consent needed to do so
  • Use shared rolls or templates to collect images from people for misleading, abusive, or unlawful purposes
  • Share private or sensitive content with people who should not have access to it
  • Evade reporting, removal, contribution, storage, or access limits

If you share a link, anyone who receives or can access that link may be able to view, use, or contribute depending on the feature settings. Share links thoughtfully.

4.3 Scenario Selection and Prompting

When selecting styles, scenarios, templates, or prompts, you must not:

  • Attempt to generate prohibited content through creative workarounds
  • Use prompts designed to bypass our content filters
  • Combine benign elements to create inappropriate content
  • Request modifications that would violate someone's dignity or rights

4.4 Created Content Usage

For content created, edited, generated, or exported using our Service:

  • You are responsible for ensuring lawful use of all created content
  • You must not use created content to harm, deceive, or defame others
  • You must not claim AI-generated or materially edited content is authentic when that would mislead others
  • You must comply with platform-specific rules when sharing on social media
  • You should consider adding disclosures when sharing AI-generated or materially edited content in professional, commercial, or newsworthy contexts

5. Commercial Use Guidelines

While commercial use of generated images is permitted under our Terms of Service, you must:

  • Ensure all commercial use complies with applicable laws and regulations
  • Not use generated images in a way that implies endorsement by individuals without their consent
  • Not use the Service to create misleading advertising or marketing materials
  • Respect model releases and personality rights when using images commercially
  • Not resell or redistribute our Service or API access without authorisation

6. Account and Security Responsibilities

You must:

  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access
  • Not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or bans
  • Not sell or transfer your account to others
  • Report any security vulnerabilities you discover to us immediately
  • Report any violations of this Policy you become aware of

7. Reporting Violations

We rely on our community to help maintain a safe environment. If you encounter content or behaviour that violates this Policy, please report it immediately to:

9. Consequences of Violations
